Manchester Cheer Program Reaches New Heights The Manchester High School Competition Team of Cheerleaders have officially qualified for the Indiana Cheer Championship State Finals in the Timeout Division, marking what’s believed to be the first time in school history the program has advanced to the state level. The Squires earned their place among Indiana’s top teams after a strong performance, where only the top 60 percent of squads move on to compete at state. The State Finals will take place on November 8 at New Castle High School, where the team will proudly represent Manchester on the competition floor. The cheerleaders have spent the season balancing their role on the sidelines with their competitive goals, often practicing extra hours to perfect their routines while continuing to build spirit throughout the school and community. Competitive cheer is judged on timing, teamwork, energy, and overall spirit, motions and creativity. Every performance counts, and this group has really taken that to heart. They’ve shown that when you combine effort with enthusiasm, amazing things can happen.
