The Lady Squires battled hard Tuesday night but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to the Maconaquah Braves. Despite controlling possession for much of the game and creating several strong scoring opportunities, the team was unable to find the back of the net beyond a penalty kick conversion. Ava Sautter provided the lone goal for Manchester, calmly slotting home a PK to keep the match within reach. The girls showed great composure on the ball and possessed well. Defensively, the team held strong against a quick Maconaquah attack, with key stops and solid play from the back line.
