Manchester Jr-Sr High School

The Manchester girls swim team fell to Huntington North by a score of 121-37. Sophie Cumberland continued her strong sophomore season by taking first in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Jana Boladeres took second in the 100 breaststroke. The 200 freestyle relay (Laynen DeLaughter, Boladeres, Kelzei Fox, and Trinity Bradley) and the 400 freestyle relay (DeLaughter, Cumberland, Bradley, and Boladeres) took second as well. The boys fell to Huntington North by a score of 130-35. Jet Thomas led the Squires with a pair of second place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Gabe Selleck also grabbed a second place finish in the 100 freestyle. The 200 medley relay team of Thomas, Kai Elliott, Selleck, and Evan Bennett also placed second. The Manchester boys and girls swim teams will enter into a tough two week stretch of training over the holidays and emerge on January 5th when they travel to Walton to take on Lewis Cass.
